The last computer I had was a real turd, and I'm glad to have moved on form it, but it ran Heroes of the Storm far better than this. It froze every two minutes, kicking me out of the game when it did, and crashed after every match. The Alienware 17 R4 (starts at 1,299.99 3,118.99 as tested) combines the same top-notch design as its 15-inch sibling with cutting-edge components, a larger screen, and plenty of extras for one of the most formidable gaming laptops on the market.
ALIENWARE LAPTOP RUNNING SLOWLY HOW TO
Has anyone experienced similar issues, or does anyone have an idea on how to fix these issues? Thanks in advance.ĮDIT: I'll also clarify that I've not had problems in most games, with two exceptions: Smite regularly gives me terrible framerates at the beginning of the match, something I've largely attributed to being the fault of Windows and not my hardware, but Heroes of the Storm was a game I recently tried that experienced such insanely low responsiveness I had to stop playing. Sometimes start ups take 5-10 minutes just after logging in to my user. It’s not rare for my pc to act really slow for no reason (that’s what I get for buying an Alienware I guess) but it happens way too often. I've decided to plug some more RAM in and replace the HDD, but wanted to check here before I got into that to make sure that it's necessary. After pressing the windows button to restart, it took 5 minutes for the menu to actually show on screen. It's only been a few months, but I'm experiencing SERIOUS slowdown issues every twenty minutes or so, or after a short period of inactivity, what is now my primary computer will slow down drastically, freezing entirely for about a minute, and any Google Chrome tabs I have open remain unusable for upwards of three to five minutes. He did a factory reset on the machine and somehow it ended up on the floor where I presumed it overheated. I received this laptop after my friend owned it for 3 years.
